2007 Pope County Fair Bench Project
This is a community project organized by the Pope County Agricultural Society to enhance the Pope County Fair and accommodate all the citizens that attend the fair. There are few places where you can just sit and soak up the atmosphere, eat your food, and enjoy the evening with your family and friends while on the grounds. In an attempt to help the Fair board began to brainstorm some ideas and this is what happened. We are pleased to have 25 new benches on the grounds this year for you to enjoy. This was a project that took some coordination with the Minnewaska Area High School Shop Class, Steve Entzi (Shop Teacher), Hilltop Lumber, and the 25 sponsors of the benches. Each bench sponsorship was $100.00 and this donation helped to pay for the materials and supplies needed to build them.
